Interview Follow-Up

I was wondering when I should stop emailing people back after an interview? I had an in-person interview last week with someone fairly high up in a small company. When I left the person said that they would let people know either way when they made the decision, gave me their business card with their email and cell number (previously I had been communicating with their assistant, the person even said that I could text them should that be easier), and then said that it would be early this week that they made a decision and let people know. The day after the interview I followed up and emailed the person just to thank them and confirm interest. Then on Tuesday evening this week I still hadn't heard a decision so I emailed their assistant and basically did the same, confirming my interest, offering direct-line communication should they have any questions, and letting them know I was looking forward to their decision. The odds are fairly good, as there are less than 5 applicants remaining for this position, and the person interviewing me really liked some of my coursework in college (recent grad for an entry-level position at a small company). Both emails received no responses. Should I reach out to them any more? If I didn't get it then I would really like to know that for sure and at least be able to get tips for future improvement.
