Real world thermo pizza problem

My wife always says that when we bake a pizza in the oven the crust is never crispy. So I discover these things called pizza stones and get one. It makes a slight difference in the texture of the pizza. Then I discover pizza steels. This actually does a decent job and the crust is crispy. My problem is the instructions say to preheat it at 500 F for 45 minutes before putting the pizza on. I'm too impatient and too cheap to heat this thing for 45 minutes for a 15 minute pizza. I really am that cheap. No way am I using that much electricity. I assume that's just some numbers the manufacturer took a swag at. I figure it gets to 500 pretty quickly and its maximum heat capacity isn't far behind. So what's the minimum amount of time I need to heat this thing to use it? Can you figure out what type of steel this is? I'm also interested in the pizza stone figures for comparison. My caliper is SAE so inches. I got both of them on Amazon. This is the $29 steel, not the $79 one they recommend. Thanks.

Pizza Stone:

35.5 cm round

2.55 kg

0.58 in thick

Pizza Steel:
