I am looking for a good book or paper on how to calculate the stresses in a plate. Example being: if I have a 10’ diameter plate supported around its edges, and I point load it anywhere on the plate. What are the stresses at that point, what is the deflection at that point. What if I have 5 supports around that same plate, now what are my stresses and deflection.
I can use beam tables all day for 2 dimensions, but the addition of the other supports throws it all out.( or maybe not).
