Here’s my understanding, a mould is simply a cavity of the desired shape and a pattern is the replica of the desired shape. Does this mean that the pattern is placed on the mould and does the runner directly connect to the pattern? (Talking in terms of sand casting) Please enlighten and correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks!
