Autodesk Inventor V-Belts function - Tension Factor: What is it?

Hi, while learning to use this Inventor feature in a ME Design course we ran into the TENSION FACTOR. We were able to create the belts by using 1.15, but it was just our teacher's lucky guess.

Can anyone explain what this factor is and how to calculate or estimate it?
