Hey guys! I hope everyone is doing good. I’m in desperate need of someone’s help here. I’m literally begging for someone’s help here.
I graduated from my Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering this May. I’m really interested in Design and Manufacturing and have been trying to find a job since January. Unfortunately, I’m an international student and will require sponsorship in the future to continue working. I would say I’m a quick learner and I put my heart and soul into everything I work on.
So the thing with international students is, we only have a limited time until we find a job or we have to leave the states. I have a month left. I’ve tried applying for a countless number of jobs, tried emailing recruiters and even contacting them on LinkedIn. I was able to secure a few interviews but again, companies back out when they find out they will have to sponsor me. And if that’s not bad enough, I don’t have much work ex. I’ve had a co op in my undergrad and that’s it.
Usually, I know given time things will work out. But I lost my dad last year and it has put my family in a difficult position. I have $60000 in student loans and we had to sell off our house to buy me sometime. I don’t know what to do. I know people on Reddit can be nice sometimes, and I just need some help. Please.
Thank you guys.
