Here’s the thing: if you increase the weight of a car, you’re increasing the static friction that it has to overcome with the ground, which means that the car will require more power but will have good traction/grip, right?
Ok, now how do car spoilers work? If they increase the downforce and thereby increase the grip of the car, why don’t they also require to car to output more power?
in other words, whats the *physical* difference between adding more weight and using a car spoiler to increase the downforce?
