Quirks as an engineer: Do you got any?

Do you got any quirks which you probably have because you're an engineer? What are they?

Personal examples:

After I close the tap of the garden hose, I have to pinch the nozzle again to relieve the pressure of the 'system'.

I have to close the tap in the bathroom really gentle because otherwise I hear that closing shock in the lines.

I almost feel physical pain if someone grinds his/hers car gears.
