I'm starting university in 2020 and I'm still not certain I've made the right choice taking mechatronics over mechanical.

Is there anybody out there who has done mechatronics and gained successful employment in a relative field? Should I just stick with mechanical due to the broader range of options?

I'm mid 30s and in Australia if that makes a difference.

Thanks so much for any responses.
