So I've looked into how the mechanical clocks work and came up with a rather interesting idea, what if we make the clock machine that would produce some energy. So here is a video about the mechanism I am thinking about

Alrighty, and I would love to know how feasible and useful such engine would be and any practical uses that would come to mind?
Personal ideas: a dynamo attached to output that would spin and generate some electricity to for example charge your phone when your lights are out or you are on a trip.
Note: I am a programming engineering student and I have small knowledge in this field but I am simply amazed and interested about such things.
