I'm interested in fluid machinery,heat transfer. So I want to learn a software like ANSYS or COMSOL. But I can't figure things out. What exactly is meshing ? How do I know which mesh to choose ? What is the k epsilon model ? I run a simulation and the solution shows error or takes forever to converge. Everyone I ask working on CFD seems like they themselves are not aware what's going on. Feels like it's all trial and error. Anyone can suggest any guideline ?
