MechE Sophomore Seeking Advice no Internships for Summer 2020!

**on, not ‘no’ in title

So, as the title says, I’m currently a student in Mechanical Engineering, expecting to graduate with my bachelor’s in May 2022. I’m on winter break currently, and recovering from a tough semester.

I’m in the midst of applying to internships for this coming summer. I was just wondering if anyone on the thread had advice as far as what to do when, resume or internship search efficiency tips, anything in that vein that you would deem helpful. In addition, what I’m really in need of are names of companies (large or small, in any location or nation/worldwide) to which I should apply. Obviously, the more “prestigious” the company is, the better, but if anyone has had past/current experience working with a company that they really, truly love the atmosphere of, thats also great. Really just any advice, comments, suggestions, or pointers that you have for me as I begin the long, grueling, and often disheartening application process would be much, much appreciated.

Thanks so much in advance, and sorry if this post is at all vague or too expansive. Cheers!
