Will employers take me seriously if I graduate with mechanical engineering degree from an Howard University ( HBCU)? I'm a hispanic male.

I'm debating on whether attending Catholic University of America in DC or Howard University. They are my only options right now. Howard is cheaper by about $10 k per year. I am a transfer student who needs 2 years left. Since I'm hispanic, I'm wondering which would be a better choice for me to build connections or for future employers? Catholic university of america with $20k more over 2 years or Howard an HBCU for 20 k less.
