Hello, For a project I am comparing the heat transfer coefficient for different copper plates under similar conditions of cooling, heat flux etc. I have made my assembly in Solidworks. Figure 2. Cross section showing path of fluid My method to obtain a fluid domain was to add caps to my inlet and outlet and then to obtain the hollow region of my model. I was then going to suppress the rest of my model so I was just left with the hollow region, which would be my fluid. This would be done using ANSYS Fluent. When I did this, I was left with the following model. Figure 3. Trying to obtain the hollow region. As you can see, I can get the inlet and outlet regions alright but for the volume which passes over the copper plate, it is not modelling anything at all. I am unsure how to proceed and I would appreciate an tips whatsoever. Cheers, L. [link] [comments] |
