Lead screw bearing issue

So in the long, slow process of building a cnc machine, i’ve realized I can’t put both bearings on the inside of the frame and get the lead screw through them. I’d rather not have to take the frame apart for this as it’s a pain and I’m sure I’ll have to take it apart at some point in the future.

Thus, I’m looking to see if anyone has any ideas on an alternative way to prevent the lead screw from translating along its axis. I’ve considered tapping the end of the lead screw and using a thrust bearing and plate on the end to pinch the frame and bearing in between the step on the lead screw and the block.

The one picture is a close up of the end where the shaft goes through the frame end and bearing. The other side is essentially the same, but the lead screw end doesn’t protrude as far, it really only goes into the bearing. The other picture is just an end to end shot along the lead screw.

I’m open to any suggestions, but the simpler the better!
