Remote Release Valve?

Hi all!

I have no inherent knowledge in mechanical things but can be a quick learner once I know where to go about finding the information.

I am trying to set up something like a Gunge tank and would love to have the release valve triggered by the internet or the app, not connected to the same WiFi that the mechanism would be on but being able to be released by someone through a webpage or an app from a distance.

Is this even a thing or am I just blue sky dreaming?
