What is the significance of adding imperfections to the first, 2nd, 3rd, 4th... modes in a buckling analysis (composite material)?

​ I have added imperfections to the first 2 modes in the first picture, and to the first 4 modes in the second picture. Then compared the force/displacement curve. What are some reasons it could be different? - just in a general sense. submitted by /u/santalos5 [link] [comments]
