How did you choose which field to get into?

Bit of background, I am a junior and as of now not sure of which field to get into will be graduating in 2 years. I was able to get a internship in automotive manufacturing this past year which I enjoy, but not sure that it’s the field I would get into after I graduate. I have thought about robotics, but not sure on how to get into that field.

How were you able to narrow down which field you wanted to get it? Was it pure interest? Salary? Etc.
