MechE's who switched to Medicine or vice versa. Can you tell how was your experience like? Did you regret it?

I'm a 1st year ME student in Turkey and thanks to several reasons I' considering on switching to Medicine. It would be nice to hear experiences of engineers or doctors who went through a similar stage and dilemmas.
