Hello,
I am new to sculptural mechanics and need a little help getting started. I am going to build a sculpture that consists of figure cut out of a 4x8 piece of plywood(or lighter material) that then stands up right by a metal pole and stand. I know how to get it this far and for it to also spin freely, but I need a motor to twist it building up tension in a spring for a clutch to then release it spinning the opposite direction. Imagine a table top Hockey player that has a motor making it snap around instead of a person twisting the handle. Does anyone have advice for what type of spring, motor, or set up I might be looking at?
Thank you
