Hey guys,
I am currently studying a BEng Engineering degree in the UK.
For my Mechanical engineering design unit we have been tasked to design a mechanism that dispenses a cable and enables a safe and controlled descent of building site items, which need to be poven to fundamentally work through calculations.
After a discussion with the lecturer he advised to look into centrifugal brakes. I have spent the last two days researching existing devices employing this method but i have found no usefull information on the design process.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how where i can find information on this?
