Hello to all the question is I have a water tank and I want to put a serpentine heat exchanger in it and want to heat the tank water up. I calculated the required energy with Q = mcΔT now I need to calculate the heat transfer over 6 hours (for ex.) from the serpentine hx I tryed to use mixed heat transfer formula which is q"= U* ΔT but I found a pretty low heat tranfer so I think I'm doing something wrong. What should I do to find the heat transfer of serpentine hx to tank water?
