How would you deconstruct a generator, and use the parts to build a motor (biologist here looking for perspective)
I am a biologist looking for a different perspective to a problem I am working on. I am wondering what steps you would have to follow, what tools you would need, and how you would rearrange the components to convert a generator into a motor. How is the connection of the pieces different between the two? I understand they both have mostly the same parts. The object in question is ATP synthase, which functions as a generator inside cells, but I am looking for a mechanical engineering perspective. Thanks!
