Thoughts on going back to university?

Hi all, I’m currently in a engineering position at a small automotive engineering and distribution company. I’ve been here 18 months and have another year experience in automotive. Unfortunately I’m not really enjoying the work and I’m considering a move back to uni for my masters and changing field to building services. Has anyone been a similar position and used the masters route as a way to respec? Are there any pros/cons or things I should look out for. Any advice would be appreciate
