Looking for Joysticks with no Pushbuttons

Hi, I had submitted an earlier post about looking for a 2 axis motion measuring mechanism. I think a PS2 Joystick should work in the application I am looking for. However, the pushbutton aspect of the joystick won't be needed. Do any gaming controllers use the non pushbutton joysticks
