I've worked 4 years as a mechanical engineer, mostly relying on Google to get me through stuff. I realised I've forgotten quite a bit of what I'd learnt in college and I feel awful. Sadly, I don't know where to start to re-learn engineering so that I could perhaps grow in terms of my career. Where do I start and how should I go about in doing it?
My current job is mostly engineering operations stuff, figuring out dispositions for parts (whether they need to be scrapped, reworked etc), updating drawings etc. I wish I could get into a job where I actually do something or create something. My current job pays a lot more compared to my old one as a design engineer. I design mechanisms for security devices (again relying on Google to learn on the job). I'm right now bored with it. I've only been here for a year though.
