Hello everyone,
I am currently a year out from finishing my graduate degree (education has been non-traditional for me so if that has any relevance in the conversation, I can expound on that later) in ME with an emphasis in design, ergonomics, manufacturing and safety. I have been interning in R&D New Product Development for a large med device company (passive product, complex assembly) for the last year and I have really enjoyed being in new product development but I am not completely set on the industry in which I will work. My work experience before coming back to school was all with small companies and I really miss the urgency and excitement that come with working in a small company.
As I am approaching graduation I have been doing the standard job search to try and understand the scope of titles that would deliver the experience that I am looking for to start my career. After looking for a couple months I don't have a good idea of what titles I could search other than the standard E1/2 positions as many of them seem to be specialized rather than a general E1-5 title.
Does anyone have any recommendations on titles to search for or how the titles change based on the industry? Really any insights or thoughts on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
I am sure I have left plenty of holes so please ask away.
Thanks in advance for the help!
