Best things to self learn - Mechanical engineering, 1 year from graduation

Hi all,

I will be going onto my last masters year next year. For the summer vacation, I am looking to to self teach myself something, both for fun but also to learn something new. I have taken quite some automotive courses but i have interest in a broader range of subjects. Are there any particular things you guys recommend for me to do? I was thinking about sharpening my programming skills in a mechanical environment (like embedded systems and such). Any suggestions are welcome ! Link me anything you found interesting to do :)
