Sup gearheads, civil checking in for some help on a strictly OSHA disapproved project. I am planning on building a bazooka style potato cannon similar to the one from the Potowitzer video by HodgePunk. The problem I am running into is their propellant delivery method. If you watch the video, you can see that they simply flush(?) propane into the cartridge and cap it with their projectile. I want to find a more precise method of delivering propellant for A) optimum fuel to air ratio and B) the safety of my face. I was thinking of finding a syringe that is approximately the size of a butane nipple, which would allow me to see how much butane I am using. Then, using this syringe full of butane, inject it into the cartridge through a one way valve epoxied into the back of the cartridge. Is this plausible? If so, where can I find the one way valve?
