Ever seen a thermocouple that is sensitive to compressive force?

I was testing the temp of an oven fixture and I clamped a thermocouple between some metal. Nothing more than hand tight.

Has anyone ever seen this kind of loading swing the temperature measurement?

It was a long test that I am going to need to run again, but I don't want to add the same measurement error if I am.
