Hi all, I would like to have your opinion and advice about designing a part turner in order to turn a part for the industry sector. I need to turn an heavy part (60kg) to load it in a verical lathe with a magnetic lifter and a hoist for a turning operation. https://i.redd.it/5khx6aley6b31.png I already tried to design it but I am facing a problem : The problem is that the mecanism has to be easily used by an operator without lifting any heavy weight (max 10kg). That is the reason why I planed to use a counterweight to balance locate the center of mass on the axis of rotation. https://i.redd.it/0kpkohx127b31.png It seems to work well from the 1st position to the targeted position by placing the counterweight in the upper position at the very begining but for the following turning operations the operator will have to lift the counterweight in the upper position what is not possible. Do you have any idea to counter this problem ? or completely an other system to perform this turning operation ? Thanks in advance [link] [comments] |
