As a hobby project I am designing a small AC compressor (2.5cc, 3600rpm, piston and check valves) that runs at 200psi pumping propane refrigerant (R-290). I wish to avoid introducing oil into the refrigeration stream because it makes the design and construction much harder.
As a result I want to run the compressor dry - no oil.
Do anyone have experience with self-lubricating o-rings and could they point me to a distributor? (As far as I can tell McMaster doesn't sell such a thing although they do sell some plastic o rings)
