I have to select wheels based on load rating

Hello,

I’m working on a small EV project (not for school or anything, just personal) and I need to select wheels and it has come down to load rating.

Basically what I’m wondering is; if a wheel has a maximum load rating of 100kg, and the EV has 4 wheels, does that mean, all things being equal, the maximum (theoretical) load rating of the vehicle is 400kg?

Obviously I would need to take into account a large safety margin, centre of mass... but is the theory sound?

I tried googling but all I could come across was to do with trucks and bridges.
