button which only moves when fully pressed?

What are these called?

I'm talking about press buttons which don't cause an internal trigger unless the button is fully pressed down. When the button is pully pressed down a relatively strong mechanical force moves something inside of or the opposite side of the button, so I'm guessing it's a spring-based system and it is somehow loaded while the button is pressed down and only released when the button is fully pressed down. But that's just a guess.
