I have an associate's degree in engineering from a community college and am looking to transfer. Is 60-80k worth it to be in debt for the next 2 years going to a private University to get a mechanical engineering degree?

I am in Maryland. I have an associate's in Engineering from a local community college but can't go to some state schools because I repeated a gateway course 3 times 2 years ago. But most private Universitys are Abet acreddited and would accept me.
