My team got a task to make a gearbox (it's not for a paying costumer, we're students and it's just an assignment) and I was assigned to make a gearshift mechanism. Since there's no restrictions with this part I decided I could make one with a dog clutch, it's simple to design and easy to make. But the only problem I (currently) have is I can't find any standards (ISO or DIN) on dog clutch calculation.
Is there a better ISO (or DIN) standards guide than their webpage or do dog clutches have an "official" name? Is there even a standardized method for their design?
Thanks!
