Hi! I am part of the MakeMIT team. MakeMIT is an engineering makeathon that brings together over 250 students who are passionate about designing and building. MakeMIT is completely run by students at MIT and seeks to promote an interest in being a maker in the undergrad community. We will provide all the materials, mentorship, and food you need, all you have to bring is a passion to make! Have an idea you've been dying to make? Want support as you work on building your first project? Do you just love power tools? If any of these sounds like you, then consider applying to spend a weekend in February working on a cool and creative idea with other makers. All majors are welcome. Whether you are a programmer, electric engineer or mechanical engineer there is always a project that you can work on! Give yourself something to do over winter break and fill out the application at https://my.makemit.org for the chance to be a part of MakeMIT 2020!! Although we are only open to undergraduates in college currently, we would love to have the help of more experienced makers in the form of mentors. If you are near the Boston area(within a bus ride) and are willing to help mentor young makers at MakeMIT please DM me. [link] [comments] |
