I'm currently working on a project where I try to make a pop-up camera (similar to recent smartphone but with a manual mechanism rather than a step motor). My plan is to make a mechanism similar to those found in click pens. Or actually any push switch with 2 positions mechanism. An electrical contact in one of the position would be a bonus.
Those metal click pen mechanism seem to do the trick, but I can't find reference to how they work.
