I am going to be graduating in the Spring semester of 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. The school I am graduating from is ABET certified, and I currently have a 3.8 GPA. I have been working full time for the past two years doing CNC programming/running the machines. I am proficient in G code and pretty good with CAM software. I also have 7 years of welding experience and went to a vocational school in high school for welding. I am wondering what type of engineering job would best fit me when graduating, and if I will have a hard time finding work. I have had one engineering internship, but I left it due to lack of work there. I was thinking maybe a manufacturing engineering position would best fit me due to my skill set. But, as I am going to be new to the industry, I was hoping for advice from some engineers who have done hiring/worked as engineers for a while.
Thanks
