Alright so here's the deal, I'm about to graduate with a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from a decent school in NY. The problem is I don't really have a passion or serious interest in any one particular field. My main goal is pretty much to enter whatever field is going to make me the most money. I know that may rub some people the wrong way but it's the truth.
A little about me:
-I have my EIT License in NY and ~1 year experience in manufacturing engineering from an internship.
-My GPA was a 3.8 in undergrad and a 3.9 in grad school.
-I'm willing to relocate just about anywhere that isn't in the Northeast or in California.
Fields I'm currently exploring:
-Oil & Gas/Petroleum
-Wastewater
-Automotive
I'm assuming the smartest move is to go into a field where I can get a PE license, which is why I was looking at wastewater and petroleum engineering. I'm mostly looking for some guidance from those of you who entered a higher-paying field or know people who did. Thanks in advance!
