My,uh, friend is an R&D machinist who is going to engineering school part time. He is in his junior year and hasn't had an internship because he's afraid to let go of his job. He would like to do a co-op in his last semester. He doesn't want to work for his current company as an engineer, so asking for a part time internship is out of the question. They don't even know he's in engineering school. His dream company is SNC in a semi-large Midwestern city. Advice on how to move forward would be greatly appreciated.
