Mechanical Engineering Projects?

So I'm completing my final year of an apprenticeship and I have a project to basically design and build something.

I'm looking for ideas, I have interests in the automotive industry, bikes and cars. My course is maintenance engineering so if you have anything that has electrical parts that would be great too!

I've currently got my head set on a motorcross bike stand, but I'm open to anything! Something to do with car repair ect would be amazing!
