So I'm a mechE major right now, considering a switch to IE, due to constant struggling in classes, however, what's holding me back is motorsports, it's what made me want to do ME in the first place. Industrial engineering peaks my interest because I like business as well, and developing them to be better, but idk man, I just cant fully let go of MechE, but dont wanna keep failing classes either. Anyways, back to the question at hand, say I still wanted to get involved in the IE field but want the ME dwgree, is it possible for an ME to be involved in IE, and how often does it happen?
I ask because I dont see the point of becoming an IE if I can do what an IE does even if i went the ME route, if that makes sense. Thanks!
