A question

For Mechanical engineering students, should the skill-sets be focused on one area only (ex-Engineering design) or is it okay to have a wide range of skills? (more like a jack of all trades or a master of one) If that sounded very vague, I apologize. But in my case, my interests are wide and want to explore a lot of fields in MechE itself, and I ended up interning in an automation company, and a hydraulics & pneumatic company, but I practice Solidworks and ANSYS regularly and I've also picked up a course on Robotics & Electric Cars through a MOOC (for the lockdown). My worry is that should I be focusing on a single skill and work hard on it, or is it okay not doing it?

P.S - A very badly constructed question, but I hope y'all get the point. Thank you.
