Hello, i have graduated in last may and got job but it is very basic and it can be done by anyone with primary school education which is why it made me to worry about the whole perspective of job a mech engg get & my future in this country. so is it common to get such very basic job everywhere & is it ok ? because what i had in my mind was that mech Engg usually/mostly get to work in R&D and in design and calculation department & from what i know only those who graduated from prestigious university get such job and rest who graduated from below and above average University often and mostly get job in maintanance, service engineer, technical customer support engineer, machine operator (and yes engineering has fallen to that level in my country) hence me not getting job in my expected field (which is R&D) and having to work pretty basic job makes me hate my job and regrate my decision of getting into this field, so is it normal? or usually all those who graduated are highly likely to get job which utilize all the knowledge which student gained during his University time? Thank you for your time and sorry for long post.
Ps- what kind of job graduate Mech Engg get in your countries?
