I'm teaching a circuits course to mechanical engineers next quarter. What circuit stuff would you want to learn?

I am an Electrical Engineering professor, and will be teaching a circuits course to mostly mechanical engineers starting next quarter. I'd like to present some relevant and exciting applications to my students that they will think are relevant to their course of study. Since I am not myself a mechanical engineer, I thought I'd reach out and ask what electrical and circuit applications would be interesting to mechanical engineering students. I'm interested in both the perspective of practicing mechanical engineers and current mechanical engineering students.
