Materials - Galvanized Sheet Metal Design - Looking for knowledge / guidance

Hope everyone is doing alright and staying healthy. I am looking for some guidance on an application for galvanized sheet metal. I am building a unit that requires a washdown with water that will occur roughly every month. In order to keep costs down we have been looking as galvanized metal for the frame / sheet. I am not very familiar with how corrosion resistant the material is. The main way galvanization provides protection is as a sacrificial anode, eating the zinc before the base metal, as I understand it now.

When we go to cut all this material will the protection still stand for all the freshly exposed cut steel surfaces in the frame? How long will it last and will these areas begin corroding first? Main reason for pursuing is due to low cost corrosion resistance. If there are other suggestions besides aluminum or stainless I am all ears. Any other thoughts let me know.

If there are any resources you think I would benefit from reading as well please send them my way. Thanks!
