Hello, I'm a mechanical engineering student working on a project for my applied fluids class. As part of our project we are comparing the economics of pumping potable water for a commercial application through a single pump or multiple smaller pumps. I'm having a hard time identifying the style of pump that would be used in this application. I'm looking for pumps in the that would be within the range of providing 2-15 gpm flow rate with head loss on the order of 30 ft.
Looking through sources like Grainger and McMaster nothing seems to be within the parameters I am looking for while seeming appropriate for the application (e.g. Pumping potable water from ground floor up). Could anyone clue me into some key words or sources that might put me on the right track?
