What does your typical work day look like?

I'm currently studying Mechanical engineering in my 2nd year, and because of the lockdown here in our area it gave me time to think and question my decisions in life. So how does your day, as a ME, look like? Is it recommendable? How's the salary? Do you enjoy it?
